About Empire Empire

When you pick up a piece of Empire Empire clothing, you know two things:

1) That you can wear it with a clean conscience,
2) That you will never see another piece just like it.

Empire Empire was built from the ground up with these two principles in mind, and accompanied by another, simple belief: that clothing is, in essence, interactive, wearable art.

The company was started in 2005 by Avery Bloom, a young artist residing in Seattle WA, after graduating The Colorado College that same year.

All the clothes that come out of EE come from reclaimed and salvaged vintage materials and great emphasis is placed on reducing the separation  between the creator and the wearer. No overseas slaves. No unnecessary waste. No funny business.

Every single garment is hand printed by Avery, and each print is laid out to most effectively use the specific base garment that has been selected. Throughout the lifespan of a print, the style and manifestation of the print evolves and changes.  This is done first of all to instill life and art into each garment, but also because doing things the same way over and over is boring, and here, stagnation is tantamount to death.

The designs you will see at Empire Empire are exclusive, and there is a constant push to keep everything made fresh, current, and alive, so new designs are always being added, and familiar designs find new life through alternative printing methods and concepts.

So, we appreciate your support, and can't wait to see you become a part of the Empire Empire.

Sincerely
-The Empirer
